- One judge really liked the composition and story of the hockey rink photograph and also mentioned that getting the right exposure was a more complex process for that shot.
- Another judge was drawn to the field photograph because it had that “National Geographic moment”.
- Overall, the judges decided that the hockey photograph deserved 4th place.
